Qurnat as Sawda/Black Peak, elevation 3,088 meters, is the highest point in Lebanon. The hike is ~10km from the trailhead, but many people make it on ATVs or all wheel drive vehicles.
The people in the SUV were shooting their guns. I don't know if they were hunting anything at all.
