Euphrates Bridge - Deir ez-Zor, night. Western end. by golden road

Built by the French in 1927, this 450m long cable-stayed suspension bridge originally carried vehicles. Since the construction of a wider bridge, 600m downstream, it is now only open to pedestrians and cyclists.
